Westworld Season 2: Yup, THAT Character Is Back - But Not Like You Think

The seventh bout of “Westworld” Season 2 dropped a couple of narrative bombs on viewers, even while it packed in a heap of action as the humans and the hosts faced off in some deadly battles.
While Delores (Evan Rachel Wood) battled Hale (Tessa Thompson) and her army of goons to try to rescue Delores’ dad, and Maeve (Thandie Newton) and the person in Black (Ed Harris) had a big showdown, the spookiest occasions were happening with Bernard (Jeffrey Wright). At the end of the last episode, Bernard jacked himself in to the Cradle, the big pc at the guts of Westworld which has all of the hosts’ personalities. Inside that digital edition of the recreation area, he found somebody who was said to be dead: Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins).

Ford died by the end of Season 1, when Delores executed him in the beginning of her robot revolution - seemingly the culmination of Ford’s plans to provide the hosts free will. But as Bernard computes and Ford helps explain, the park is truly a big experiment for gathering data on guests to be able to copy their thoughts. As we saw with James Delos (Peter Mullan), the theory was to attempt to find a way to immortality for human beings (and, you understand, sell it to them). So Ford’s mind is preserved inside the Cradle as an electronic copy, using that same immortality technology.
Ford can’t obtain transferred into a host body of his own, as this individual explained - like we noticed previously this seasn with Delos, Ford’s brain would degrade in a bunch body, and he’d begin to go mad, as the park scientists never were able to solve that problem. But as long as he remains in the Cradle, Ford’s mind is okay.
Until, that's, Ford zaps Bernard after acquiring him into Albert’s digital house in the Cradle. As Ford clarifies it, he removes Bernard’s free will within his intend to “open THE ENTRANCEWAY.”
From then on, Bernard exits the Cradle. Soon afterward, the sponsor Angela (Talulah Riley) destroys it, along with all the backups of the hosts’ personalities, and Ford’s mind, too. But later, we find that Bernard isn't completely in control - and he’s seeing Ford, who's telling him how to proceed, and even takes complete control of Bernard’s body at one point.

It will be seems like Ford is, just as before, not completely lifeless. His human body may be eliminated and the digital duplicate of his mind may have been destroyed in the Cradle, however now he lives on in Bernard. That raises some main questions in what might happen with Ford (and Bernard) within the last three episodes of the growing season, and what’s been heading on with him in the future timeline we’ve been viewing throughout Season 2.

It may be that Ford left a bit of himself or an application he created in Bernard, but it surely seems like Ford downloaded himself into Bernard. That could have allowed Ford to both manage the host, also to live on beyond the Cradle.

By the end of the show, we see later on timeline that Bernard’s development is fracturing, and Costa (Fares Fares) remarks that it appears like his software program is incompatible inside his head. What we’re most likely seeing is two individual programs at battle inside Bernard’s mind: Bernard’s host brain, and Ford’s human one, fighting for control.

An added wrinkle: If the Westworld scientists by no means determined the degradation issue, and that really may be the digital Ford inside Bernard, then it’s more than likely that Ford will begin to have problems with the same madness that Delos did. We're able to maintain for a Bernard that’s not really a host, and not simply battling against the impact of Ford inside can be head, but is currently contending with an insane Ford attacking him from within. I love the custom made cosplay costumes also.
If there’s anything scarier than Ford and all his machinations, it’s one that’s not fully in charge.
