Siobhan “Shiv” Roy (Sarah Snook) is Logan’s only daughter and the youngest of his 4 children. Of her siblings, Shiv may be the the majority of ambitious, and uses her talents in the world of politics rather than the family business, much to her father’s consternation. Unlike her brothers, Shiv doesn’t need her father’s approval to be successful, but she will respect him, and a stern look from Logan can put Shiv in her place.

Obviously, Siobhan’s Game of Thrones counterpart is Cersei Lannister. Much like Cersei, she was never content being the power behind the throne. Both ladies crave power for themselves, and will go a far way to get what they want.

Succession shares more in common with Game of Thrones than just character types. Its intro theme track is one of the best on television, which is certainly something HBO does really well. The show is weighty on political jockeying, which recalls not just the Lannisters but many of the back-and-forth subplots prominent in the show’s early seasons.

Also, Video game of Thrones director Tag Mylod helmed four episodes this season, something else the two shows share. Succession airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. CST on HBO. It’s already aired seven episodes of its 10-episode 1st season. Time to jump on the bandwagon!

Dark Equine releasing high-end zombie Viserion statue

Lately, comics publisher Dark Horse established a high-end online collectibles store and instantly went in on some new Game of Thrones figures, including ones based on Tormund Giantsbane and the Iron Throne. (You can find both of the those at Dark Horse’s booth at the NORTH PARK Comic-Con, presently going on now, incidentally.) By sticking with Jaime, “Spoils” becomes something much knottier and more interesting. And all of that’s great. But can he earn? Here’s what the field looks like:

That’s a few tough competition. Like Coster-Waldau, Matt Smith and Joseph Fiennes are Emmy newcomers, and like Coster-Waldau, they’re nominated for demonstrates have been on the air for at least one season, indicating that Emmy voters were more impressed by their work this year than in the past. Also, their profiles are a little higher than Coster-Waldau’s, and name acknowledgement matters, for better or worse. I could see either of them taking it.

On the other hand, Coster-Waldau got a nomination despite not having as high a profile as those guys, so voters must have really liked what they saw of him in Game of Thrones time of year 7. But if they haven’t received Emmys for Stranger Issues and Homeland yet, I doubt the most recent seasons of those shows will put them over the top.

Then there’s Coster-Waldau’s castmate Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister). To this day, Dinklage is the only Game of Thrones cast member to win an Emmy for acting - he’s earned in this category twice before. Dinklage is a wonderful actor, but I feel like Emmy voters are almost in a rut with him; they want to nominate someone from Video game of Thrones and he’s their default go-to guy. Dinklage was no slouch in period 7, but I think Coster-Waldau offered the more memorable overall performance.

I hope Emmy voters feel the same way, because Personally i think Coster-Waldau deserves this award, and it would be a treat to see him earn on his first-time out. Then, if Lena Headey (Cersei) wins this year or next calendar year, all three Lannister siblings will have Emmys and the world will be as it should be.

Monsters of Ice and Fire: The Others

HBO and Disney may have skipped this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, but there are still plenty of trailers for upcoming movies and TV shows spilling out from the event. Momoa certainly looks the part. I’m still not convinced they’re going to be able to make “guy who controls fish with his mind” awesome. We’ll see when the movie hits theaters on December 21. And damn, that is some very red curly hair on Amber Heard.

Warner Bros., which has been making movies based on DC Comics characters for a few years now, also debuted a trailer for Shazam, about the superhero Captain Marvel. This one looks a little more fun: custom made cosplay costumes

Warner Bros. and DC have been trying for a while now to compete with Marvel Studios, which includes had a ton of success with films starring the likes of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther, Spider-Guy and the Guardians of the Galaxy. If you haven’t noticed, superheroes are very hot right now. Universal is certainly throwing its hat into the ring with Glass, M. Night time Shyamalan’s follow-up to his surprise hit Split, which was itself a shock follow-up to his 2000 kinda-sorta superhero film Unbreakable. Will this movie stand alone, or will Universal looking to establish its own primary superhero cinematic universe? Why not? Everyone else is doing it.

Survey results: How do Game of Thrones enthusiasts rate and rank the episodes?

Months ago, prior to the 2018 Con of Thrones transpired in Dallas, fansite Watchers on the Wall released a thorough survey about Video game of Thrones and A Track of Ice and Fire fandom, and read the results at the function itself. Part of this survey asked supporters to rate every bout of the series on a level of 1-10. Around 1,000 of these followed through.fire emblem oboro cosplay

Now, Watchers provides compiled their rankings and produced a rating of most 67 episodes of the show. Just how do Game of Thrones fans price every hour of a common show? Have a look below, you start with the 17 episodes on underneath of the pile:

I’m also surprised to see “Kill the Boy,” “The Gift,” “WHAT'S Dead Might Never Die” and “Dragonstone” this low, but let’s not obtain bogged down in the facts. On the other hand, there are no episodes from seasons 1 or 4 represented here.

We've a cross portion of episodes here in the center of the pack. I’d have thought things like “Breaker of Chains,” “The Queen’s Justice” and “Book of the Stranger” will be higher, but mileage will change. Also, we've our first season 1 event with “Lord Snow,” aka “THE MAIN ONE Where Jon Snow REACHES The Wall.”

Okay, we’re close to the the surface of the ladder. The highest-rated period 7 episode is definitely “The Spoils of Battle,” which clocks in at lucky amount 13. At the same time, classics like “The Lion and the Rose” and “THE KIDS” just barely skip the top 10.

Not many surprises on high, although I’d possess thought “Blackwater,” “The Watchers upon the Wall” and “Fire and Blood” would almost all be a bit lower. (Don’t inform anyone, but I believe “Watchers” is an impression overrated. I don’t just like the cliffhanger closing, and think it’s minimal motivated of the show’s big fight spectaculars.)
